Sonoma County Web Developers Special Interest Group

The SIG meets once a month to discuss and learn about issues related to Web development, including Web design, programming, and business management. Our monthly meetings are held on the second Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Volunteer Center of Sonoma County (unless otherwise noted). Meetings are free if you are a member, but everyone is invited to attend. Event fees are $10 for professionals and $5 for students with proof of enrollment. NBMA members also enjoy a $5 discount at these events.

Our Future

Date: June 11th, 2002
Time: Socialize 6:30, Program 7:00 to 9:00 PM
Location: Volunteer Center of Santa Rosa (Get Directions)

This month, instead of a featured guest speaker, the SCWD Board of Directors is holding an open meeting to discuss the SIG's future. Our mission is to provide a forum to learn about Web development and be a fun social networking environment for Web developers at all career stages. We have recently developed an online job board for our members, and are currently exploring other ways to enhance membership benefits. Sonoma County Web Developers is a volunteer-run organization. This event is a great opportunity for those interested in becoming more involved. The more volunteers who come on board, the faster we can meet our goals for improvement.

Find out how you can help put Sonoma County on the national map as one of the best places for Internet professionals to work and live, and as one of the best places for businesses to find solutions to their Internet-related development needs. Hopefully we will see you at this meeting and we look forward to your valued input!

On Tuesday, July 9 we will resume our regular meeting on the second Tuesday of the month with a featured guest speaker. Details still to come.
